Overview
The MicoAir LR900-F is a long-range 915MHz LoRa telemetry radio for drones, robotics, boats and RTK systems. Operating in the 890–915MHz band with 500mW (27dBm) transmit power, LoRa spread-spectrum modulation and FHSS frequency hopping, it delivers a reliable bidirectional MAVLink link with an outdoor RF line-of-sight range of 30 km or more.
It is plug and play with Pixhawk and any other ArduPilot / PX4 flight controller: a pair ships with matching default parameters and connects automatically at power-up — wire one radio to the flight controller's TELEM port, plug the other into your PC or Android device via USB-C, and open Mission Planner or QGroundControl. Because it uses transparent serial transmission, it carries any serial protocol, not just MAVLink — including RTK correction streams between base and rover using its broadcast modes.
The 915MHz band penetrates trees, terrain and buildings better than 2.4GHz — and it pairs perfectly with a 2.4GHz RC link (ELRS 2.4G) on the same aircraft with no interference between control and telemetry.
Features
- 500mW (27dBm) transmit power, 890–915MHz band
- 30 km+ outdoor RF line-of-sight range
- LoRa spread-spectrum anti-jamming with on-board SAW filtering
- FHSS self-avoidance frequency hopping — up to 3.2 KB/s downlink in FHSS mode
- Point-to-point full-duplex link, plus broadcast modes for RTK base/rover
- Transparent serial transmission with adjustable baud rate — compatible with any protocol
- Dual on-board interfaces: 3.3V TTL serial (JST-GH) + USB Type-C (CP2102) — works with QGroundControl on Android
- Plug and play: a pair links automatically out of the box (solid green LED = connected)
- Small (43.4 × 25.8 × 11 mm) and light (8 g) for easy integration

Regional note: in the U.S. and Canada the commonly used 915MHz ISM band is 902–928MHz. You are responsible for operating only on frequencies and power levels permitted in your region.
Getting Started
Two LR900-F radios with default settings bind and connect automatically after power-on — the green LED turns solid when the link is up. For flight telemetry we recommend FHSS mode: set the aircraft radio to FHSS-AIR and the ground radio to FHSS-GROUND for the fastest downlink and best interference immunity.
Step-by-step setup guides (wiring, flight-controller parameters, ground-station connection, troubleshooting):
Configuration
Parameters (operating mode, air data rate, frequency mode, module address, baud rates) are configured over USB-C using the browser-based configurator — see our LR900 Web Configurator Guide. Windows needs the CP2102 USB-serial driver first: CP2102 Driver Installation Guide (Windows).
Running multiple pairs in the same area? Give each pair its own module address (1–30000, default 1000) so the links don't cross-talk. Full parameter reference in the manual below.
